Hahaha like the title said, we were supposed to watch meteor showers today! But sadly there wasn't any, like the clouds were abit red and it drizzled a little. But it was still a fun experience, and also to be back in Cijin Island after so long - the last time I went was when we first arrived :/ Was somewhat thankful that Bryan asked me to join his friends (whom we went Alishan with) to watch meteor showers, cause if not I'll be watching it alone if I can ever find a place to watch hahaha. :) But okay stupidebs stroked when I downloaded the wrong version of the 流星花園 theme song!! Like when we started to choose songs to sing while waiting for the showers then the quality sounded so horrible and it was a cover version LOL. (Cause I downloaded the songs in a rush, like normally I'll listen to the full song with my earpiece to see if its the correct one of good quality)
But nonethelessssss, it was fun cycling so quickly at Cijin though I almost lost control over my bike again, and those random singing / selfies / snacking and drinking sessions / taking Bryan's photos to help him find his "wife" that he "married" to during the cultural trip in the morning. Hahaha glad to have met new (NBS) people in NSYSU :) And we're meeting most of them again tmr for softball batting and possibly pooling if there's time. Hopefully I get to crash yoga and softball classes on Monday cause nobody is in for the whole Monday - don't really want to be stuck at home esp when there's only a few weeks left! (I tried surviving this whole week alone most of the time hahaha) Trying hard to cherish the moments left, and I really wonder how am I going to leave - I'm pretty sure I'll be quite reluctant to leave!
---
Anyway I'm so glad Wednesday was over! HAHAHA. Like the end of one final exam and possibly my last risk management presentation. Think I sort of screwed up my finals - It's really crazy to write 6 essays cause I can never plan my time well :( But I'm glad it' just pass/fail, I think I should be happy with a pass!
Went out with le buddy! It's possibly the last few outings before I return to SG :( But nonetheless, thanks to her I get to visit a pub and enjoy good music - the timeslot we went were mainly those bands performing soothing music :)) Wanted to go club after that but I guess I wasn't really keen to so oh wells! :X Shall at least go once before returning home!!

Timecheck - 5.30am, time to sleeeeep! (wanted to draft out my letters on Word but I guess no timeeeee~)

Time Forgets... - Yiruma
So much feels from hearing this song. Like Idk why the sudden urge to listen to this; it's a really good song. But somehow not the right time - Presentation and final exam for one of my module tomorrow (or rather in a few hours' time) and yeah, so many things just came to my mind - Some things just cannot be forgotten over time..... Just like these.
The only picture that I have with my grandma during CNY 2010. And sadly it's the only decent photo I had with her before her passing. Memories (and those regrets) came back to me and yeah, I really missed her. And probably that's why I have always wanted to return to SG earlier - at least be there to pay my respects on her anniversary in Jan :/
And while being on exchange, though I'm having fun and all, I don't think I can deny that I do miss home sometimes - those home-cooked food, random squabbles with my brother/parents, etc. Just that it wasn't so bad unless I start talking to them sometimes. And now that I know that my paternal grandpa is hospitalized and all just made me really want to be back sometimes. :/ Like I really don't want the same thing to happen - bad news to come when I'm not physically with the people whom I should be with now. :/
Sometimes lessons are learnt the hard way, and so you shouldn't give yourself another chance to repeat it. Really really hope everyone back in Sg is safe and healthy :(
Some trait that I really really hate mehhhh. But sadly I'm
ALWAYS like that. :(
STARS today, and I really really hope I won't regret my decisions. Hahaha so much for trying to plan cause in the end I always... change my mind at the last minute.
Like how initially I wanted the particular Mon-Thurs index cause I can take Korean and have optimally a 2-3 day week, and wanted it even more cause most of my friends are getting the same class too. But when it comes to the actual war, it was so difficult to get it so in the end I took the index which one of my other friend was taking and I got it. Was glad at first, cause I was really indifferent with any index so long as I can minimize the number of days I have to travel to school...
Till I realized I've got a hall friend in the same time slot but different class (which I didn't realize either) and my tutorial friends suggested switching index to try my luck too. And so I tried again for fun (I really thought cannot get oneeee) and I got back my original intended index, but somehow I just felt a lot more burdened hehhh. Idk eh, it's good to have many friends in the same class (including those friends whom I met on exchange or other classes) but somehow I'm just scared I'll be "spoilt" for choices or I'll be stuck in the same situation back in Y2S1 :/ But then again the reason why I chose to switch out cause I know that I most probably won't be joining my friend for projs in the original Tues/Fri slot that I took (don't wna be a burden hahaha). Argh somehow I just don't have a good feeling about this though, hahaha. (+ All the angst from re-planning my electives over and over again :/)
I guess I can never get the best of both worlds - good timetable and working with people whom I really comfortable with. Let's just hope my last semester would be a good one :)
Idk, I really hate my indecisiveness - before this it was about whom to go grad trip with, mayday concert, etc etc. Speaking of which, Idk how to tell my friends that I'm not going on grad trip with them; mainly cause I don't have so much money, but also because of the company. Absolutely nothing wrong with the current company, but I just felt that the person/people whom I really want to go on a trip with is/are not there. Same goes for my intern batch, but I cannot really rmb what made me agree to go in the end.
Sighs, I really think that I'm expecting too much, hence when there's just something small that's lacking I would give second thoughts about going and all :/
Same for opening up to people I guess. Just that tiny weeny lack of insecurity and I'm back to my turtle shell mehhh.
Shall catch up on sleep cause I barely slept the pas few nights... brooding over useless stuff and also waking up early to catch the sunrise at Alishan, which was really really worth it. Probably blog about it if I ever have the time - reason why I stopped my written journal cause I don't have timeeeee.
People could step into and think from my perspective, or rather try to think from my point of view. But sadly, in reality nobody gives a shit sometimes, everyone for themselves.
Been super cranky, I guess partly it's from the lack of sleep. But it's always times like this when I start to realise a lot of things. Not wanting to be mean but oh wells, sometimes, really, being nice isn't good. I know it but.. argh nevermind.
Hahaha sometimes I think Kary really knows how I feel. But there's just so many things that I can't say and all. Not that I'm very sui bian and just not say anything, but really, it's super difficult and sometimes I just see no point to it.
Anyway that aside, halfway through exchange and I feel like I haven't ventured out much :/ Not many weekends left, and I guess there's nothing much we can do since our schedules are all clashing in Dec. And I realised my Jan is..... super empty. And Idk what am I supposed to do in Tw. Like really. After considering the fact that the rest wouldn't really be free, either :/ And not sure whether to travel back to Singapore right after exchange or... travel out. And. Travel with who?

Nostalgia. Reminiscence. Sentimental.
Second post today! Best song to describe how I felt lately. A little cranky, but oh well, probably it's stress from work. Off to do report, debz must not be a lazypig/burden even on exchange! And it doesn't feel like autumn here, it's still hottttttt. Need to send my EY contract toooo!
And I really want to go explore Kaohsiung, I don't mind exploring alone even if the rest are not free/not in (like now hahaha - WS & CK went for their couple trip). Gradually getting used to being alone without feeling lonely cause I tend to sort out my thoughts when I'm alone. Being on exchange doesn't mean it has to be 2-2 or 4 people together most of the time. I'm not gna fall for Lizzzz's hypothesis - I am still rational enough to know how to sort my own emotions and keep them in check. (Totally reminded me of what I told Rae when I met her the last time.)
& I need to be used to being alone if not I'll have a hard time adapting my lifestyle back in Singapore. And I don't want to be overly dependent on people too - when you're overly dependent you tend to take some things for granted, and you'll be upset when you realize that they don't meet your "expectations" sometimes. With greater expectations lead to greater disappointment.
Intended to post this on the birthday date itself but I haven't the time to, ooops.
Title says it all! Feeling super blessed and thankful today :) Thank you to all those who made my day - Celebrating my first birthday overseas; felt a little sad that my parents and some of my closer friends weren't here but I guess all those celebrations and wishes made up for it :)
Lynn did ask why didn't I hold an early celebration in Singapore with my close friends and family, but I guess there wasn't a need to. Cause... 1) I'm too lazy to plan and prepare all these. 2) I wouldn't want to trouble people; usually I wouldn't ask for favours unless there's really a need to. 3) I only want to celebrate with that few people only... I guess catching up with each of them would be more meaningful hehehe. But oh wells, I'm glad I'm not forgotten by people in Singapore yayyyyyyy! :D
That aside, really thankful to those who celebrated with me in Taiwan hehehe!
Had really nice waffles with Hanying, Cheowlin and Peizhen! :) Thank you for the waffles + cheesecake treat, andand for the card. Really thankful to have met this really nice bunch of friends, always looking for nice food / shopping for clothes / having table tennis sessions after classes! Let's do this more often and enjoy the rest of our exchange together okieeee! :) Oh yes we went to do a little shopping (heeee :P) before meeting Lynn and Yanni!
And so happydebz went shopping with the other two and bought new clothes and bag! Hahaha Lynn is damn funny; right before I bought my new bag she passed me the present that Zongting & her shared LOL. But I still bought mine cause theirs looked really nice and I can't bear to dirty it when I go out :( And we had an epic time looking for food cause the one we intended to dine at was relocated, our we cabbed to looked for another one which,,, happened to close on Mondays HAHAHA. In the end we went sufood and it's really not baddddd! Yay for eating mushrooms that day! :) And super sorry that I shopped a tad too long at Xin Jue Jiang that we didn't really have time to shop at Dream Mall after dinner!!
Last celebration back at homeeeee :) Thankyou guys for planning a halloween-themed birthday celebration, and super sorry for spoiling the surprise ooops! But nonetheless, NO UNGLAM PHOTOS YAY HEHEHE :) Glad to be on exchange with you guys (though I only know weishan well before the trip), and really thank you for getting stuff that I really like -
macaroons (I was still telling Michy how much I missed eating them), the
craftholic-like huggable toy (HAHAHA I remembered I was super reluctant to let it go when I saw it for the first time), surname teddy - I guess if the nurse remembers my surname wrongly I'll show her that, and a two-way pillow that I can use to hug toooo. I'm gna make sure I hug the toy to sleep daily - at least I wouldn't miss my green huggable back in Singapore :P
I usually don't say much (only laugh often), but really thank you for looking out for me while on exchange. I have no sense of direction, super scared to be lost and have a super picky appetite - so I'm really glad when you all try to make sure I have stuff to eat when we dine together / ask about my whereabouts when I'm out alone for too long (esp Weishan hahaha). And also for satisfying my cravings sometimes when it's not something that'll y'all will eat often. :) Let's enjoy the remaining 2 months, and we need to finish exploring Taiwan soon guys hahaha!!
This probably summed up my 21st! Pardon all my solo photos HAHA - Probably one of the rare times I'd allow people to take such shots for me that I'll post. :P
On a sidenote, my fringe is getting a tad too long and I want a haircut soooon. But that's like 2 months later :( And I like my new skirt HAHAHA.
"Hellweek" is coming - Money 101 project, Biz val midterms and Audit test, :(
Best song to describe my mood~ :) From my all-time fave artist hehhh.
Still crankydebz, partly because of my wound that's hurting a lot during the weekends. Like it was a little swollen and red, and it really scared the shit out of me so yes, I didn't walk much, literally rotted in the room playing Audi. Yeaps, I re-downloaded it after.... 3 years? Hahaha partly because I'm really bored sometimes when I'm in the room alone, andand I went to click on mes'd blog, so yeaps memories started coming back.. to those secondary school & partly JC days. Really missed those times when we were all soooo happy and I really enjoyed being (one of) the youngest there HAHA.
And I guess there are some things I need to sort out first and clear my mind before I can be the super bubbly debz again. So many things going through in my mind I cannot handle ahhhh.
Back to the docs today (AGAIN HAHA) to check if my wound was still swollen. I guess my leg hates the doctor too, it looked perfectly fine today whuttt. No swelling and it's not even close to being red and painful when I was there. Sigh NT100 just flew for letting the nurse know my wound is okay. So I guess I can exercise later in the evening :) So much work to do this week - Risk Mag questions, Biz val research and need to prep for the tests coming up next Friday! :(
Mehhhh back to listening 12:30!
Hahaha google translated this phrase! Just feeling a bit bewildered lately and Idk why. But I guess I'll be my usual self soon! Anyway 5 weeks of school passed and I don't think I'm learning much in my core lessons - I'm forever lost and somehow some lectures in English does not help. Esp when you need to spend additional time figuring out what was the lecturer talking about. And 'cause of this too, I'm glad I'm on exchange and not clearing these modules in Singapore! :)
So far I've only been out of Kaohsiung twice - once to Taichung and to Tainan & Kenting! I think I'm just super sway uhhh. Got skin allergies from touching and hugging the sheeps at Cing Jing Farm; and I fell off an ATV on the second day when we were at Kenting (I'm also very amazed by what I did srsly. I doubt anyone has fallen off a 4-wheeled bike before uhhhh :/). And hence...... I didn't get to play water sports!! Super sad 'cause Kenting is the place where you should play their land/sea sports!! But at least I tried their Go-Kart! I know why I'm never getting a license. & The fall convinced me further HAHA - I'm a reckless driver who can't really drive properly and I like to make sharp turns. I'm going to stick to being chauffeured in the future! :D
Now I'm just hoping for my wound to heal soooon! Cause it was an open wound, I didn't disinfect it in time and still went to play with seawater *shrugs* And the fact that I didn't (no I couldn't) disinfect it properly (cause it was soooo painful) made it really infected when I went to the doctor's on Monday. And now my left leg is sooo gross I can't even bear to look at it also sighpie! Need to get rid of the blueblacks and cuts toooo :( Sigh I think I'm spending too much at the doctor's, even she was surprised to see me again ooops.
Anw I'm sooo gad I bought clothes recently, esp at CACO. Not very cheap but it's nice and I like it HEHE. (My pocket's alot lighter now also oh no!) Shall try to control myself and not overshopppp.(hehehe thanks Michy for always nagging me to control HAHA)

Here in Taiwan! :) Just glad I'm not homesick yet, cause..... yeah. It's already weird to be away from home and now having a couple around is just a little awkward sometimes (I think I just need som getting used to :S). But other than that I guess I'm still doing well!
Anyway I had my final MBS staycation on the last Monday in Singapore!! Met le tamp buddy; we wore matchy outfits and had short hair hehehe! And I'm just glad they are still doing well after our internship (well, technically they were used to working without us before May :P What I mean was probably we sill keep in contact yeah :D) And yes, I met the usual bunch of interns on Tuesday! Really thankful that they decided to hold a farewell party for me and also with the additional intention to get the Double Ds (Derek & Dominique) to meet up HAHAHA. Definitely friends to keep cause they still use Whatsapp so I'm not totally left out after leaving Singapore! Speaking of which, we won the SQP photo competition thingy which entitles us the $50 Starbucks card,,, and they are waiting for me to be back to drink together! (AWWW :D) Met Michie on Wednesday briefly over lunch and icecream! Soooo thankful for the box of macaroons, and really wished we weren't apart :(
Headed for HK from Thursday to the following Monday. The weather was hotttttt, and I just felt super apologetic most of the time for being such a bad planner. I shall not volunteer to do something like this again. Felt super bad when the guys have to keep using GPS :( But other than that I guess it's alrightzzzzz.
Hehehe I'm doing a written diary for my exchange trip instead, cause I am lazy to type and blog mehhhhh. Thanks Huaaaaa for the suggestion :D
