Autumn feels.

Nostalgia. Reminiscence. Sentimental.

Second post today! Best song to describe how I felt lately. A little cranky, but oh well, probably it's stress from work. Off to do report, debz must not be a lazypig/burden even on exchange! And it doesn't feel like autumn here, it's still hottttttt. Need to send my EY contract toooo!

And I really want to go explore Kaohsiung, I don't mind exploring alone even if the rest are not free/not in (like now hahaha - WS & CK went for their couple trip). Gradually getting used to being alone without feeling lonely cause I tend to sort out my thoughts when I'm alone. Being on exchange doesn't mean it has to be 2-2 or 4 people together most of the time. I'm not gna fall for Lizzzz's hypothesis - I am still rational enough to know how to sort my own emotions and keep them in check. (Totally reminded me of what I told Rae when I met her the last time.)

& I need to be used to being alone if not I'll have a hard time adapting my lifestyle back in Singapore. And I don't want to be overly dependent on people too - when you're overly dependent you tend to take some things for granted, and you'll be upset when you realize that they don't meet your "expectations" sometimes. With greater expectations lead to greater disappointment.

Officially 21!

Intended to post this on the birthday date itself but I haven't the time to, ooops.

Title says it all! Feeling super blessed and thankful today :) Thank you to all those who made my day - Celebrating my first birthday overseas; felt a little sad that my parents and some of my closer friends weren't here but I guess all those celebrations and wishes made up for it :)

Lynn did ask why didn't I hold an early celebration in Singapore with my close friends and family, but I guess there wasn't a need to. Cause... 1) I'm too lazy to plan and prepare all these. 2) I wouldn't want to trouble people; usually I wouldn't ask for favours unless there's really a need to. 3) I only want to celebrate with that few people only... I guess catching up with each of them would be more meaningful hehehe. But oh wells, I'm glad I'm not forgotten by people in Singapore yayyyyyyy! :D

That aside, really thankful to those who celebrated with me in Taiwan hehehe!

Had really nice waffles with Hanying, Cheowlin and Peizhen! :) Thank you for the waffles + cheesecake treat, andand for the card. Really thankful to have met this really nice bunch of friends, always looking for nice food / shopping for clothes / having table tennis sessions after classes! Let's do this more often and enjoy the rest  of our exchange together okieeee! :) Oh yes we went to do a little shopping (heeee :P) before meeting Lynn and Yanni!

And so happydebz went shopping with the other two and bought new clothes and bag! Hahaha Lynn is damn funny; right before I bought my new bag she passed me the present that Zongting & her shared LOL. But I still bought mine cause theirs looked really nice and I can't bear to dirty it when I go out :( And we had an epic time looking for food cause the one we intended to dine at was relocated, our we cabbed to looked for another one which,,, happened to close on Mondays HAHAHA. In the end we went sufood and it's really not baddddd! Yay for eating mushrooms that day! :) And super sorry that I shopped a tad too long at Xin Jue Jiang that we didn't really have time to shop at Dream Mall after dinner!!

Last celebration back at homeeeee :) Thankyou guys for planning a halloween-themed birthday celebration, and super sorry for spoiling the surprise ooops! But nonetheless, NO UNGLAM PHOTOS YAY HEHEHE :) Glad to be on exchange with you guys (though I only know weishan well before the trip), and really thank you for getting stuff that I really like - macaroons (I was still telling Michy how much I missed eating them), the craftholic-like huggable toy (HAHAHA I remembered I was super reluctant to let it go when I saw it for the first time), surname teddy - I guess if  the nurse remembers my surname wrongly I'll show her that, and a two-way pillow that I can use to hug toooo. I'm gna make sure I hug the toy to sleep daily - at least I wouldn't miss my green huggable back in Singapore :P
I usually don't say much (only laugh often), but really thank you for looking out for me while on exchange. I have no sense of direction, super scared to be lost and have a super picky appetite - so I'm really glad when you all try to make sure I have stuff to eat when we dine together / ask about my whereabouts when I'm out alone for too long (esp Weishan hahaha). And also for satisfying my cravings sometimes when it's not something that'll y'all will eat often. :) Let's enjoy the remaining 2 months, and we need to finish exploring Taiwan soon guys hahaha!!

This probably summed up my 21st! Pardon all my solo photos HAHA - Probably one of the rare times I'd allow people to take such shots for me that I'll post. :P

On a sidenote, my fringe is getting a tad too long and I want a haircut soooon. But that's like 2 months later :( And I like my new skirt HAHAHA.

"Hellweek" is coming - Money 101 project, Biz val midterms and Audit test, :(

Best song to describe my mood~ :) From my all-time fave artist hehhh.

Still crankydebz, partly because of my wound that's hurting a lot during the weekends. Like it was a little swollen and red, and it really scared the shit out of me so yes, I didn't walk much, literally rotted in the room playing Audi. Yeaps, I re-downloaded it after.... 3 years? Hahaha partly because I'm really bored sometimes when I'm in the room alone, andand I went to click on mes'd blog, so yeaps memories started coming back.. to those secondary school & partly JC days. Really missed those times when we were all soooo happy and I really enjoyed being (one of) the youngest there HAHA.

And I guess there are some things I need to sort out first and clear my mind before I can be the super bubbly debz again. So many things going through in my mind I cannot handle ahhhh.

Back to the docs today (AGAIN HAHA) to check if my wound was still swollen. I guess my leg hates the doctor too, it looked perfectly fine today whuttt. No swelling and it's not even close to being red and painful when I was there. Sigh NT100 just flew for letting the nurse know my wound is okay. So I guess I can exercise later in the evening :) So much work to do this week - Risk Mag questions, Biz val research and need to prep for the tests coming up next Friday! :(

Mehhhh back to listening 12:30!

왜 그런 식으로하다
Friday, 17 October 2014

Hahaha google translated this phrase! Just feeling a bit bewildered lately and Idk why. But I guess I'll be my usual self soon! Anyway 5 weeks of school passed and I don't think I'm learning much in my core lessons - I'm forever lost and somehow some lectures in English does not help. Esp when you need to spend additional time figuring out what was the lecturer talking about. And 'cause of this too, I'm glad I'm on exchange and not clearing these modules in Singapore! :)

So far I've only been out of Kaohsiung twice - once to Taichung and to Tainan & Kenting! I think I'm just super sway uhhh. Got skin allergies from touching and hugging the sheeps at Cing Jing Farm; and I fell off an ATV on the second day when we were at Kenting (I'm also very amazed by what I did srsly. I doubt anyone has fallen off a 4-wheeled bike before uhhhh :/). And hence...... I didn't get to play water sports!! Super sad 'cause Kenting is the place where you should play their land/sea sports!! But at least I tried their Go-Kart! I know why I'm never getting a license. & The fall convinced me further HAHA - I'm a reckless driver who can't really drive properly and I like to make sharp turns. I'm going to stick to being chauffeured in the future! :D

Now I'm just hoping for my wound to heal soooon! Cause it was an open wound, I didn't disinfect it in time and still went to play with seawater *shrugs* And the fact that I didn't (no I couldn't) disinfect it properly (cause it was soooo painful) made it really infected when I went to the doctor's on Monday. And now my left leg is sooo gross I can't even bear to look at it also sighpie! Need to get rid of the blueblacks and cuts toooo :( Sigh I think I'm spending too much at the doctor's, even she was surprised to see me again ooops.

Anw I'm sooo gad I bought clothes recently, esp at CACO. Not very cheap but it's nice and I like it HEHE. (My pocket's alot lighter now also oh no!) Shall try to control myself and not overshopppp.(hehehe thanks Michy for always nagging me to control HAHA)

TAIWAN :)
Thursday, 11 September 2014

Here in Taiwan! :) Just glad I'm not homesick yet, cause..... yeah. It's already weird to be away from home and now having a couple around is just a little awkward sometimes (I think I just need som getting used to :S). But other than that I guess I'm still doing well!

Anyway I had my final MBS staycation on the last Monday in Singapore!! Met le tamp buddy; we wore matchy outfits and had short hair hehehe! And I'm just glad they are still doing well after our internship (well, technically they were used to working without us before May :P What I mean was probably we sill keep in contact yeah :D) And yes, I met the usual bunch of interns on Tuesday! Really thankful that they decided to hold a farewell party for me and also with the additional intention to get the Double Ds (Derek & Dominique) to meet up HAHAHA. Definitely friends to keep cause they still use Whatsapp so I'm not totally left out after leaving Singapore! Speaking of which, we won the SQP photo competition thingy which entitles us the $50 Starbucks card,,, and they are waiting for me to be back to drink together! (AWWW :D) Met Michie on Wednesday briefly over lunch and icecream! Soooo thankful for the box of macaroons, and really wished we weren't apart :(

Headed for HK from Thursday to the following Monday. The weather was hotttttt, and I just felt super apologetic most of the time for being such a bad planner. I shall not volunteer to do something like this again. Felt super bad when the guys have to keep using GPS :( But other than that I guess it's alrightzzzzz.

Hehehe I'm doing a written diary for my exchange trip instead, cause I am lazy to type and blog mehhhhh. Thanks Huaaaaa for the suggestion :D

Counting my blessings (again) :D
Friday, 29 August 2014

Time is slipping away - 6 more days! Not gonna meet up with people anymore cause.... I'm sooo broke (& I don't get allowance anymore). And 'cause I have yet to finish packing my stuff, like seriously HAHAHA. So far I've only packed tops/dresses/jeans/winterwear... and I remembered I forgot to pack my shorts ._. And I only bought 1 set of long johns to try, shall get the next 1-2 sets tomorrow!! And also more vacuum bags, cause I only intend to ring one luggage there!

I've yet to change currency for both Taiwan and Hong Kong. Super lazy to head down to Arcade :( And my phone line toooo - Need to put it on hold! Now I'm also undecided on how to bring my TWD there, like whether to bring cash there / telegraphic transfer! :/

On a much much happier note after dwelling over course registration for the past 2 nights, I've finally settled that too! Been staying up late to look at the courses and plan timetable, and yet feeling so frustrated cause they didn't provide details for me to do my course-matching. And thinking about what's the not done yet always made it worse mehhh. But yay, in the end, they do offer risk management and my business valuation module is approved by NTU!! Omg if they didn't offer these I'll have 3 cores to clear in the last semester lor!!
Plus, it's a 3 day week if all goes well!!! Monday &Thursday free :)  But I'm just hoping to get all the modules, heck it if the timetable gets screwed up. I cant imagine having 200+ people fighting for only 100 slots per class. And the priority ranking of the modules is like SMU omg :/ I really hope to clear all 5 modules there!! And I signed up for table tennis HAHAHA. Need to exercise even when I'm overseas!

Lastly..... I've snipped my hair short!! Nobody believed I would cut it short but yay it was a good change! Did soft rebond to make it less frizzy and manageable, though it already looked nice before the treatment! And now I thought I should've cut it even shorter HAHA.

Anyway it's always fun to hear Kary rant HAHA. Let's hope I'm really not the one doing most of the work for the book in Taiwan okay!! If not I'll be quite upset too (though Kary has been ranting and saying that I'm kelian since the start of this week. Guess I really look like I'm nice to bully hor HAHAH.)

Current fave song, the chorus is catchy hehehe :D

it's a tiring yet happy day :)
Wednesday, 27 August 2014

You know your body clock is super screwed when... It's 330 in the morning and you're super awake though it's been a loooong day today!!

But honestly I'm just super glad and relieved cause I accomplished some things and struck things off my to-do list! ;)

- Meeting up with kiwi and jennnn to to exercise, yay to clearing 3km today, making it about 4.5-5 km this week! Sigh I think I'll have a hard time adapting when I fly man, need to stop meeting people already!!!

- COMPLETING OUR PART OF WEISHAN'S SKETCHBOOK. Hahaha super happy, we cleared 22 pages of our own. Worth spending my whole day in the room to do and allowing kary to finish up cause I couldn't finish much alone, it's damn hard to come up with designs omg!! GOODJOB TO KARY AND I YAYYYY! There're sneakpeaks! I shall collage them and upload someday, cause I'll only get to see the completed one in tw!! And worth coming back so late today though my parents aren't that glad that I'm going school a tad too often while on OSL.

- ADDED MORE COURSES FOR MATCHING! :) finally used the lappy! Cause risk management isn't offered, I need to clear my UE instead! Hoping to get introduction to psychology or the mod that sounds like religious thoughts!! Hehehe I really like to take up humanities electives though I can't really write. Had a rough idea of my timetable and knowing that I can't take table tennis anymore :( but at least I planned my time alr!!

- Bought my flats and sneakers for tw! Really wanted vans but I'm definitely not bringing exp stuff to Taiwan except my handbag :/ My preorder from szejen is also here, hi new purse!!!!

Ok need to sleep cause le bro is waking up in 2 hours and I don't think he's sleeping well with the lights on :O

1.5 weeks left!
Monday, 25 August 2014

Before leaving sg for 4-5 months! As much as I'm excited to leave but there's always a part of me that wished that I'm staying in Singapore, studying those horrible mods instead. Simply cause I know I'll feel homesick really sooooon, and yes my close friends are mostly in Sg :( From those meetups I know how bad I'll feel too oh manz :((

And I'm really lazy/reluctant to pack my stuff. Don't wna shop much so I'm going to... Bring more clothes. Hehehe my new wardrobe is only filled with dresses and there's not even space for blouses. Time to clear themmmm!

On a happier note, accommodation has been settled. But I still have yet to plan my itinerary & change currency sighs. And not mention to prep a sketchbook for WS. (I hope she'll never sees this before we hand it over to herrrrr). Oh yes course registration isn't going very well too :O

Feeling blessed :)

I may not have the best of everything, but I'm always glad that I am able to get what I need to keep me happy, always :)

Feeling really glad/relieved/fortunate after the week has ended, for many many reasons! :) I'm glad I have met up with different (groups of) people this week to catch up with them before leaving Singapore, though this probably meant that I've spent a lot toooo! But I'm really glad to be updated about people whom I really care :)

Met up with Bev on Monday for a cycle and some catching up! I think I'm really glad that I can tell her that I've moved on, after making a pact with her about a year back! And also those issues that I could not have shared with some people, I'm glad she is here to hear me rant and provide some advice :) Tuesday was spent with the interns; not with all though which is still a pity, but nonetheless it was a great time spent with them :) Met Lynn and Zt on wed to have vegetarian dim sum and I'm proud to say I've tried all the dishes we ordered! Hehehe I'm really trying hard to eating vegetables and mushrooms :) and I got to eat my fave vegan peanut pancake after a year omgggg #happymax!

Thursdate with Rae LG after not seeing her for 5 years, I'm sooooo glad we kept in contact even after your toot lp stopped audi in JC! She's 10 years older, but she still looks young uh!! And yes, we've definitely grown up. I'm a more matured xmm, and she's quite surprised that I think like an adult though I usually joke around like a kid HAHA. *pats head* I'm glad we're updated about each other's lives, and once again, thanks for hearing me rant! I don't really like to share my personal thoughts, so if I ever do share them with anyone, they must have mean alot to me uh! :) Met Michelle today, had a great time satisfying each other's cravings and take free instaprints! I'm happy to have known you in hall 1, and thanks for being a really nice roomie!! Keep in touch and study hard! :)

Caught up briefly with Andy and Shenghan at kscope finale too on Sat!

OH YES, I think I should say that I've had alot of good food in my stomach for this week, and I feel so fat to the extent that I went to run for first 6.5km! In less than 50 mins yay!!!

Secondly, I guess after living in the dark (literally) for less than a day, I really felt the need to cherish my loved ones! Yeaps during cycling a sand particle flew into my eyelid!! It was so bad that I couldn't open my eyes and it was so red and swollen!! And I was busy tearing omw back home after returning the bikes to protect my eye! I was really really scared, like cause I can't open my eyes, so I'm walking on the streets with both eyes closed most of the time (I can't really open my other eye cause when the eyeballs move, the swollen eye would hurt like crap). Really felt super insecure and lost, like I don't know what I was supposed to do! Eye wash and Eyemo both hurt so much that I just did my daily routine with eyes closed - watching TV, bathing, dinner and getting ready for bed. Cause I informed my parents about it too late and we decided to visit the docs the next day instead, I just thought - what if I can't see my surroundings tmr. :( and even till the minute I entered the clinic I was telling my eyes that I was really sorry and I felt bad and I will appreciate whatever I have now while I still can. Guess it's true - 不见棺材不落泪! I was sooooo thankful when the docs told me that he can just remove the particle by flipping my eyelid after that :D

And lastly, I got a verbal offer for a position in EY! Guess my parents are also relieved too, hehehe. I'll think hard before accepting the offer though, cause it's a full time job and yes, I don't want to have regrets! :)
(and I'm still thinking of how to break the news to some people :( and this totally reminded me of my conversation with LG about tact)

On a random note, I found a 2pm picture in the book I borrowed, it's a limited edition from 10x10!! :D and my tw buddy has finally contacted me!

Seeing that I'm soo happy I do hope that it doesn't signal the coming of all those bad news!! Yet to book tickets to Taiwan and hotel for hk omgggg please let all be well!! Accommodation too :(

Ending my super long post with HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE :)
